Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Butterfly Rainbow (H7-2) by Damien Hirst was auctioned at Christies in New York in July last year. The price achieved of USD 1,008.00 (€ 988.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Butterfly Rainbow (H7-2) von Damien Hirst kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.008,00 (€ 988,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Damien Hirst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lullaby Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.652.000,00 (€ 14.323.082,54).
