This artwork by Dan Colen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March this year. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work JFK, 2008 sold for GBP 69,300.00 (€ 78,842.14) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dan Colen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boo Fuck'n Hoo in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,077,000.00 (€ 2,255,865.10).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Dan Colen erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit JFK, 2008 für GBP 69.300,00 (€ 78.842,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dan Colen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boo Fuck'n Hoo im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.077.000,00 (€ 2.255.865,10).
