lithograph in colors, 1985, on two sheets of TGL handmade paper (as issued), signed and dated in pencil, numbered 69/98 (there were also 20 artist's proofs), published by Tyler Graphics, Ltd., Bedford, New York, with their blindstamp, the full sheets, apparently in very good condition, not examined out of the frame

In April 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Hotel Acatlan: Two Weeks Later, from Moving Focus by David Hockney. The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,835.87) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hotel Acatlan: Two Weeks Later, from Moving Focus von David Hockney zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.835,87) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Hockney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nichols Canyon im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.067.500,00 (€ 33.579.313,16).
