Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work 3/4 by Ed Ruscha was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction at Phillips in New York in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 40,640.00 (€ 37,257.06). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ed Ruscha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hurting the Word Radio #2 in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,485,000.00 (€ 47,631,364.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 3/4 von Ed Ruscha wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 40.640,00 (€ 37.257,06) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ed Ruscha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hurting the Word Radio #2 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.485.000,00 (€ 47.631.364,01).
