The work Blueprints for a New Museum by Eduardo Paolozzi was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Christies in London in May 2016. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,609.79), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eduardo Paolozzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Table Sculpture (Growth) in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 178,073.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Blueprints for a New Museum von Eduardo Paolozzi wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.609,79) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eduardo Paolozzi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Table Sculpture (Growth) im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.000,00 (€ 178.073,96).
