Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francesco Clemente could be acquired at Christies in New York in July last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Edition auction, the work Febbre Alta changed hands for USD 756.00 (€ 741.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Clemente achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fourteen Stations, No. XI in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,733,296.06).
