In November this year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session, which included the work Still Life by George Condo. The »bidding war« ended at USD 50,800.00 (€ 46,571.32), 69% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Condo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude and Forms in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 6,162,500.00 (€ 5,280,634.10).

Im November diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life von George Condo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 50.800,00 (€ 46.571,32) und damit 69% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Condo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude and Forms im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.162.500,00 (€ 5.280.634,10).
