The work The King by George Condo was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November this year. It achieved a price of USD 63,500.00 (€ 58,214.15), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 59%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Condo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude and Forms in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 6,162,500.00 (€ 5,280,634.10).

Die Arbeit The King von George Condo kam im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 63.500,00 (€ 58.214,15) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 59%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Condo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude and Forms im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.162.500,00 (€ 5.280.634,10).
