Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Production Still (Forest Gathering #3) by Gregory Crewdson for USD 882.00 (€ 779.29). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art | New York at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gregory Crewdson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dream House Portfolio in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 169,000.00 (€ 115,059.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Production Still (Forest Gathering #3) von Gregory Crewdson für USD 882,00 (€ 779,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art | New York bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gregory Crewdson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dream House Portfolio im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 169.000,00 (€ 115.059,91).
