Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Frontispiece, from Elles by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,276.00 (€ 2,967.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Blanchisseuse in November 2005 with an auction result of USD 22,416,000.00 (€ 19,012,722.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Frontispiece, from Elles von Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.276,00 (€ 2.967,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Blanchisseuse im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.416.000,00 (€ 19.012.722,65).
