Etching with hand-coloring in watercolor and oil pastel, on BFK paper, initialed in pencil, dated and numbered 41/100 (there were also 20 artist's proofs), published by Petersburg Press, New York, printed by Crommelynck, Paris, with full margins, framed.

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work DH in Hollywood by Howard Hodgkin was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in January last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,274.35). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Howard Hodgkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Goodbye to the Bay of Naples in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 1,688,750.00 (€ 1,925,505.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit DH in Hollywood von Howard Hodgkin kam im Januar letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.274,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Howard Hodgkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Goodbye to the Bay of Naples im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.688.750,00 (€ 1.925.505,56).
