Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Marco Polo Returns by James Rosenquist was sold in the Prints & Multiples | Live OnlineAbstractions auction at Bonhams in February this year. The price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 962.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Rosenquist achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Director in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 3,135,000.00 (€ 2,811,911.38).
