This work without title by Jasper Johns was sold in the Contemporary Edition auction at Christies in New York in July last year. It achieved a price of USD 4,410.00 (€ 4,322.68), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jasper Johns achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Small False Start in November last year with an auction result of USD 55,350,000.00 (€ 53,618,134.26).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jasper Johns wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Edition bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 4.410,00 (€ 4.322,68) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jasper Johns erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Small False Start im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 55.350.000,00 (€ 53.618.134,26).
