Upper estimate price exceeded by 37 %.
In April this year Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Cadastre, from Les Phénomènes by Jean Dubuffet. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,190.00 (€ 7,418.48), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Dubuffet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paris Polka in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 24,805,000.00 (€ 22,562,306.71).
