Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day: An Online Auction, which included the work Study For #9 by Jim Hodges. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,406.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jim Hodges achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When We Stay in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 2,098,500.00 (€ 1,609,772.94).
