KEITH HARING (1958-1990) Pop Shop Quad IV screenprint in colors, on wove paper, 1989, signed and dated by Julia Gruen, the executor of the Keith Haring Estate in pencil on the reverse, numbered 2/75 (there were also fifteen artist's proofs), published by Martin Lawrence Editions Ltd., New York, with their blindstamp and the artist's estate stamp on the reverse, with full margins, in good condition, framed Image: 25 x 31 in. (635 x 787 mm.) Sheet: 27 x 32 7 ⁄ 8 in. (685 x 833 mm.)

It achieved a price of USD 47,880.00 (€ 46,931.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 37%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Haring achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 6,537,500.00 (€ 5,818,351.73).

Die Arbeit Pop Shop Quad IV von Keith Haring kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 47.880,00 (€ 46.931,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 37%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Haring erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.537.500,00 (€ 5.818.351,73).
