In September 2021 Christies held the auction A Graphic Dialogue: Prints from the Collection of Lois B. Torf, which included the work Untitled by László Moholy-Nagy. The »bidding war« ended at USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,355.36), 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by László Moholy-Nagy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Em 1 Telephonbild (Em 1 Telephone Picture) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 6,087,500.00 (€ 5,754,868.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im September 2021 führte Christies die Auktion A Graphic Dialogue: Prints from the Collection of Lois B. Torf durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled von László Moholy-Nagy zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.355,36) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von László Moholy-Nagy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Em 1 Telephonbild (Em 1 Telephone Picture) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.087.500,00 (€ 5.754.868,60).
