Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Simple Lady by Ma Ming was sold in the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in January 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 6,717.27) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Ma Ming have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2014 the work Passion was auctioned for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,556.78).
