Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Retrato de Mujer (1 T) by Manolo Valdés was sold in the Contemporary Art | New York auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 151,200.00 (€ 133,592.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Manolo Valdés have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Infanta Margarita in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 457,250.00 (€ 538,602.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Retrato de Mujer (1 T) von Manolo Valdés wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art | New York bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 133.592,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
