Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bouc rouge lisant au-dessus des amoureux au repos by Marc Chagall was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 381,000.00 (€ 349,284.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Chagall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).

Die Arbeit Bouc rouge lisant au-dessus des amoureux au repos von Marc Chagall kam im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 381.000,00 (€ 349.284,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Chagall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
