Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marina Abramović achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Life in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 287,500.00 (€ 319,244.23).

Die Arbeit Lips of Thomas von Marina Abramović kam im September 2005 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 11.400,00 (€ 9.454,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 43%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marina Abramović erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Life im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 287.500,00 (€ 319.244,23).
