Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Repairing The Wheel by Mark Tansey was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000,000.00 – 5,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,390,000.00 (€ 3,040,631.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark Tansey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Source Of The Loue, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 7,453,600.00 (€ 6,386,975.15).
