The »bidding war« ended at GBP 76,900.00 (€ 98,537.85), 54% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Michel Majerus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work nothing is permanent in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 600,800.00 (€ 518,960.01).

Die Arbeit MoM Block Nr. 27 von Michel Majerus wurde im Februar 2016 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 76.900,00 (€ 98.537,85) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michel Majerus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit nothing is permanent im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 600.800,00 (€ 518.960,01).
