In March 2021 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Restaurant Chinois Avec Grenouilles (Chinese Restaurant With Frogs) by Miquel Barceló. The result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 234,948.48) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Miquel Barceló achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Faena De Muleta in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 3,961,250.00 (€ 4,382,386.82).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Restaurant Chinois Avec Grenouilles (Chinese Restaurant With Frogs) von Miquel Barceló zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 200.000,00 (€ 234.948,48) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Miquel Barceló erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Faena De Muleta im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.961.250,00 (€ 4.382.386,82).
