Auction result well in line with expectations
The work I Ching 36 by Nam June Paik was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2013. The price achieved of GBP 67,875.00 (€ 79,222.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nam June Paik have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fat Boy in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 4,280,000.00 (€ 503,667.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit I Ching 36 von Nam June Paik kam im Juni 2013 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 67.875,00 (€ 79.222,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nam June Paik auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fat Boy im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.280.000,00 (€ 503.667,21).
