Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le petit déjeuner by Pierre Bonnard was auctioned at Christies in New York in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,260,000.00 (€ 1,220,575.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Bonnard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Terrasse Ou Une Terrasse À Grasse in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 19,570,000.00 (€ 17,553,143.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le petit déjeuner von Pierre Bonnard kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.260.000,00 (€ 1.220.575,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Bonnard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Terrasse Ou Une Terrasse À Grasse im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.570.000,00 (€ 17.553.143,78).
