Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hair Crate (Frosted) by Richard Artschwager was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 50,172.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Artschwager achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior with Sideboard I in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,272,000.00 (€ 945,514.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hair Crate (Frosted) von Richard Artschwager wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 50.172,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Artschwager erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interior with Sideboard I im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.272.000,00 (€ 945.514,01).
