Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Curved Plane/Figure VIII, Study by Robert Mangold was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction at Phillips in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 381,000.00 (€ 349,284.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Mangold - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in February 2016 for GBP 746,500.00 (€ 956,547.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Curved Plane/Figure VIII, Study von Robert Mangold wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 381.000,00 (€ 349.284,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Mangold mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Februar 2016 für GBP 746.500,00 (€ 956.547,57) versteigert wurde.
