In December 2017 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Aile du Nord - 1er étage, Château de Versailles, France by Robert Polidori. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,874.73), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Polidori - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Green Car, 1997, which sold at auction in November 2013 for EUR 55,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aile du Nord - 1er étage, Château de Versailles, France von Robert Polidori zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 22.874,73) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Polidori mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Green Car, 1997 beobachtet, die im November 2013 für EUR 55.500,00 versteigert wurde.
