Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Yellow Red by Sean Scully was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,614.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sean Scully achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Song in May last year with an auction result of USD 2,046,500.00 (€ 1,907,091.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Yellow Red von Sean Scully kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.614,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sean Scully erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Song im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.046.500,00 (€ 1.907.091,60).
