Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Desastres Und Andere Bare Wunder by Sigmar Polke was sold in the Prints & Multiples: First Impression auction at Christies in London in September 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 3,047.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sigmar Polke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dschungel (Jungle) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 27,130,000.00 (€ 24,677,096.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Desastres Und Andere Bare Wunder von Sigmar Polke wurde im September 2015 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples: First Impression bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 3.047,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sigmar Polke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dschungel (Jungle) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.130.000,00 (€ 24.677.096,60).
