Auction result well in line with expectations
The work White House Blue Room by Thomas McKnight was sold in the Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in New York in December 2021. The price achieved of USD 255.00 (€ 225.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas McKnight achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Brancusi's Studio in December last year with an auction result of USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,767.25).

Die Arbeit White House Blue Room von Thomas McKnight wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Deck the WallsPrints & Multiples bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 255,00 (€ 225,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas McKnight erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Brancusi's Studio im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.100,00 (€ 4.767,25).
