Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Substrat 24 I by Thomas Ruff. The price achieved of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 50,172.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. Admittedly, works by Thomas Ruff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jpeg pt01 in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 197,000.00 (€ 230,864.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Substrat 24 I von Thomas Ruff zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 50.172,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 35.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thomas Ruff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jpeg pt01 im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 197.000,00 (€ 230.864,55).
