Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tobias Rehberger could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Infection 1S6 changed hands for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,738.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tobias Rehberger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reus in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 61,636.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tobias Rehberger konnte im Juni 2012 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit Infection 1S6 für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.738,99) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tobias Rehberger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reus im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 61.636,51).
