Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tomás Sánchez could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art | New York auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 2,016.00 (€ 1,781.23) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tomás Sánchez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Llegada del caminante a la laguna in March last year with an auction result of USD 1,800,000.00 (€ 1,622,644.91).
