Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hexa 5; Raura; Attika 3 by Victor Vasarely was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,216.00 (€ 1,113.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).
