Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Crucifixion (Bartsch 23) by Agostino Carracci was sold in the Old Master, Decorative, Modern & Contemporary Prints including an Important Private Collection by Lill Tschudi auction at Christies in London in December 2012. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,004.08). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Agostino Carracci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Olimpia Luna As Judith And Melchiorre Zoppio As Holofernes in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 869,000.00 (€ 643,703.70).
