The work Handprints by Andy Warhol was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2011. It achieved a price of GBP 121,250.00 (€ 142,822.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 52%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).

Die Arbeit Handprints von Andy Warhol kam im Februar 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 121.250,00 (€ 142.822,36) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 52%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
