This artwork by Anish Kapoor achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March this year. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Mirror Glow (Brandy Wine over Grey) sold for GBP 201,600.00 (€ 229,358.94) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anish Kapoor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,945,250.00 (€ 2,471,462.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anish Kapoor erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Mirror Glow (Brandy Wine over Grey) für GBP 201.600,00 (€ 229.358,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anish Kapoor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.945.250,00 (€ 2.471.462,02).
