Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2024 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Les Moulins by Bernard Buffet. Here, the upper estimate of USD 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 832.00 (€ 727.15). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Buffet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les clowns musiciens, le saxophoniste in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 16,450,000.00 (€ 1,863,306.24).
