Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Black Book by Christopher Wool was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in New York in October last year. The price achieved of USD 22,680.00 (€ 22,830.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Wool achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Riot) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 29,930,000.00 (€ 27,223,940.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Black Book von Christopher Wool wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 22.680,00 (€ 22.830,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Wool erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Riot) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 29.930.000,00 (€ 27.223.940,33).
