The work Afternoon Swimming by David Hockney was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Christies in London in March 2017. It achieved a price of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 109,865.75), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).

Die Arbeit Afternoon Swimming von David Hockney wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 109.865,75) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Hockney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nichols Canyon im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.067.500,00 (€ 33.579.313,16).
