Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London, which included the work Elise by Erwin Wurm. The price achieved of GBP 23,940.00 (€ 28,588.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Erwin Wurm have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fat Car in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 150,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elise von Erwin Wurm zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.940,00 (€ 28.588,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erwin Wurm auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fat Car im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 150.000,00.
