Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Donna a cavallo by Fernando Botero. Here, the upper estimate of USD 350,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 378,000.00 (€ 340,755.43). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando Botero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Musicians in November this year with an auction result of USD 5,132,000.00 (€ 4,704,803.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Donna a cavallo von Fernando Botero zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 350.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 378.000,00 (€ 340.755,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando Botero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Musicians im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.132.000,00 (€ 4.704.803,81).
