Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cocktale by Frank Benson was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2008. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,426.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Benson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wooster Farm in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,272,000.00 (€ 945,514.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cocktale von Frank Benson kam im Mai 2008 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 6.426,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Benson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wooster Farm im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.272.000,00 (€ 945.514,01).
