Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints, which included the work Portraits by Gary Hume. The price achieved of GBP 16,875.00 (€ 21,509.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gary Hume achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vicious in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 410,500.00 (€ 498,035.27).
