The work CAGE GRID II (Single part K) by Gerhard Richter was sold in the Contemporary auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2014. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 1,200,000.00 (€ 131,524.93), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerhard Richter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstraktes Bild in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 30,389,000.00 (€ 41,901,917.57).

Die Arbeit CAGE GRID II (Single part K) von Gerhard Richter wurde im Mai 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 1.200.000,00 (€ 131.524,93) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerhard Richter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstraktes Bild im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.389.000,00 (€ 41.901.917,57).
