Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Prints & Multiples – Old Master, Modern & Contemporary, which included the work Allegory Of The Hunt (Bartsch 43; Lewis 21) by Giorgio Ghisi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,884.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Giorgio Ghisi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Allegory Of Life ('The Dream Of Raphael') (B. 67; Lewis 28) in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,546.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples – Old Master, Modern & Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Allegory Of The Hunt (Bartsch 43; Lewis 21) von Giorgio Ghisi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.884,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giorgio Ghisi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Allegory Of Life ('The Dream Of Raphael') (B. 67; Lewis 28) im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.546,23).
