Auction result misses estimated price range
In January this year a collector was able to acquire the work Boxing Study #1166 (At the Fight) by Howard Schatz for USD 357.00 (€ 328.79). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Howard Schatz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Robin Williams Underwater, Circa 1999 in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,764.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Boxing Study #1166 (At the Fight) von Howard Schatz für USD 357,00 (€ 328,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Howard Schatz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Robin Williams Underwater, Circa 1999 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.764,91).
