Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Huma Bhabha could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, this work without title changed hands for GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,704.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huma Bhabha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 178,126.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huma Bhabha konnte im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.704,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huma Bhabha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 178.126,11).
